As I’ve mentioned on my previous post on how I usually get car sick during road trips, so an overnight stay is a must for me when we went to Cagayan de Oro last weekend. Before, me and my family would just come early morning to CDO then go back to Butuan in the evening the same day. But now, I would only agree to visit CDO if we have a overnight stay, since I don’t wanna deal with the dizziness twice in one day.
We checked in at Seda Hotel Centrio that day, this is our second stay here. I love this hotel, the room is modern, the bed is comfy, the sheets are clean, the bathroom size is just enough, and service is great. I had a room tour on my snapchat, too bad if you missed that. We headed back to The Nest CDO for lunch and tried out Italian cuisine this time at Giuseppe Pizzeria & Sicilian Roast.

Our road trip to or from Cagayan de Oro wouldn’t be complete without a stop over at Nita’s Seafood Restaurant in Talisayan. The municipality of Talisayan is half way from Butuan to Cagayan de Oro, it’s about one and a half hours drive. I remember when I was little, my family will usually stop by this place for lunch or dinner. I guess it has become a tradition for most Butuanons to dine at this place with a beautiful ocean view (Sorry, we came here for dinner so I didn’t got to take a photo of the view since it was so dark). Back then the place what just small and the structure was just built out of wood but now it’s all concrete, business must have been really good over the years. The seafood here are fresh from catch. It will not disappoint you.
