N Seoul Tower is one of a must see landmark in Seoul, so it was definitely part of our itinerary on our first day in Seoul. The letter ‘N’ stands for the tower’s ‘new’ look, which was said to be a 15 billion won remodeling project in December of 2005. The 236.7 meter tower sits atop Namsan Mountain (243m). The observatory offers panoramic views of Seoul and the surrounding areas. N Seoul Tower is such a popular date spot for couples and also for families and friends to hang out and enjoy the view of Seoul from the top. This place was even made more popular by celebrities shooting at this location. Like the Pont Neuf bridge in Paris, couples head to the tower to lock their “padlock of love” onto the railings and to dream and believe that their love will last for eternity.
From Myeong-dong Station we took the Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus No. 05 which cost us about 1,200 won each if I remember it right or about p55 pesos. I think it took us about 40minutes to get there by bus. Upon getting off from the bus stop, you have to walk about 10 minutes uphill to get to the Love Locks deck. And I tell you, having no exercise for months took a toll on us, me and my friend Antong pretty much laugh ourselves out while we were catching our breath walking uphill. I can feel my calves and my thighs were getting tight as we almost reach the top. We even saw a girl in her 3 inches heels, I mean how did she even manage to go up and then going down wearing heels?

I’m sure I would, I think I’d seen it before on a random youtube video, but seeing that someone actually saw it live is the coolest thing ever 🙂
