Staycation: Watergate Hotel Butuan (Part 2)

Rise and shine! Thank God for another beautiful day! So as promised, I will write an honest review of our overnight stay at Watergate Hotel Butuan last September 10th.

Before my review, let me tell you a funny story about myself during my stay.  The day before this staycation, was the day I got back from my Manila trip and I think I didn’t get much sleep because prior to my Manila trip I went to Cebu also. So when I woke the next morning, I literally don’t have a voice. I was basically doing sign language and tried so hard to speak in a whispering voice upon checking at Watergate. I mean if you have followed me on Snapchat (sheiladytiu), then you knew exactly how I sounded.

Me and hubby had a good night sleep and took a swim the next morning since no one was using the pool. Of course I brought along a unicorn floater with me. I even had a hard time fitting it into my car. Hahahah! A for effort! Surprisingly they also have a donut floater and a pretzel at the hotel.

After the swim we cooled down with these complimentary dessert, which will be part of the dessert menu of they very own restaurant Lime & Zest Kitchen, which I am really excited about because they will be serving my favorite Pho (a vietnamese noodles soup). If you have followed me on Instagram then you have seen me post countless times of Pho whenever I’m in Manila or Cebu. Aside from Lime & Zest Kitchen, Mandarin Tea Garden will also be opening there soon, Pick Me mini mart, Ohm Spa service will be opening in the coming weeks. There will also be a convention hall/function rooms that can accommodate 60 to 200 people very soon, they will be using all tiffany chairs, so that’s also exciting.

Overall I will give five out of five stars to this new hotel mainly because of the ambiance, which I have mentioned here, the very warm service, the modern design of the hotel, and the comfort of my stay. I will definitely be coming back and recommend it to all my family and friends. I just hope that they will be able to maintain it over the months and years to come, and also use more real plants and flowers inside the premises.
