How much do you know your hometown? Have you ever been to all the good places there is in your city?I guess not everyone I know in my hometown has ever been to the Agusan river dike, here in Butuan City, and it is actually my first time to visit the place. I first saw this place from a photo of my friend Neng on her Instagram account, since she live very near the area. And I told her that I would visit the place one day and so that day came. Thank you so much Neng for the tour. Not only it is a very good location for an #OOTD photoshoot but it really has a great view, breezy air and surprisingly there was no one there last Sunday but just a bunch of kids playing far from where I was.
My pretty dress from SheIn was perfect for that sunny breezy Sunday afternoon. I think off-the-shoulder dresses flatters most body types, and this blue and white stripes is so simple yet it looks so chic. You can also pair this with some white sneakers for a more youthful casual look or some strappy heels for a more sophisticated look.
I also brought with me my hand painted”banig” bag from a local oil pastel artist of Butuan too, Maria Len. Every bag has different paintings, it’s like carrying your very own unique piece of art specially made for you. Will post a separate blog featuring Maria Len’s work soon.

Really enjoyed strolling along the area and watching the cars passing through the bridge and I was also happy to see a rainbow out that day too.
To my Butuan readers, if you are wondering how I got there, go to the end of Gomez street, you will see stairs leading to the dike. A warning though, please don’t go there when there’s a storm or typhoon coming as the water from the river can go as high as the dike. And if your planning to have a picnic there then please bring your own trash bag and do not litter around the area. Let’s keep our beautiful city CLEAN.
