Saying Goodbye To My Hello Kitty Room

I have been a fan of Hello Kitty ever since I was little. I can still remember having Hello Kitty bags, lunch boxes, pencils, notebooks and pencil cases going to school. If you have been following me here for quite a while now then you have probably read my post about all the Hello Kitty cafes I went to… here, here, here, here, and here (I know…that’s a lot, seriously). The most recent one was here in my country, the Hello Kitty Cafe in Uptown Mall, BGC, Manila (more about that post here).

I have been using and collecting Hello Kitty items ever since then and so when my husband and I got married and build our own house. I made sure I have one room to put all my Hello Kitty stuff. This room is not fully finished actually, I had more plans for this room but as I got busy with other stuff I left it like this over the years and actually stop buying any more Hello Kitty stuff maybe three years ago.

As I turned two years old in the blogging world. I felt the need of a working space for all my blogging stuff and need to organize my mails rather than putting it all and shooting it in our master bedroom. So just early this year, I finally decided to let go of all my Hello Kitty collection and I will turn this room into my office/closet extension.

So before I had this all gone, I took one last photo as a souvenir. Well, I actually had to put everything back where it was just because our household help started putting everything in boxes before I could take photos of the room and you have probably seen that on my IG stories.

So here it is guys. It’s not much but I bet every Hello Kitty lover out there will find this a happy room. I didn’t take a photo of the other Hello Kitty items in the cabinet though, mostly for the kitchen display.

These Hello Kitty plushes from McDonalds Hong Kong are one of my favorite. I also completed the one from McDonald’s here in my country but it was ruined when I came home from Cebu since I put them all in my car before. Imagine all the McDonalds happy me, my friends and neighboors ate back in college just so I can collect them all.

Hello Kitty knobs I got from Ortigas Home depot

I am surely gonna keep this hard case luggage that my mom bought for me from Gift Gate when I was still in 1st year of college.

It would have been nice to have a daughter to pass my Hello Kitty collection, considering she will adore them as much I do. But God has a different plan for me and I am truly embracing all the blessings that I have right now. I couldn’t ask for more.

Posted some of the stuff here that I am selling on my other Instagram account @achiandshobe if any of you are interested and also on my Facebook. Selling them at super bargain prices. While some I have already given away.

Well, that’s it for today guys. Currently renovating this space and transforming it into my office space and I might just show you guys that soon so stay tuned. Thanks for reading guys! And I still love you Hello Kitty!

  1. Noooo! Waaah! I feel sad about it. Huhu! I love Pink and Barbie, and Hello Kitty, and still can’t stop leaning towards picking them among choices of items to buy. But yeah, sometimes, we have to let go to make room for adult things we need. I’m glad you took pics for the memories! This reminds me of my Pink Shrine when I was younger, haha! 💖💕🦄

    1. Oh my God. We are both Pinkaholic! hahaha! And yes, it’s hard to let go but we just have to sometimes so I am also glad I took photos to remember it by. I can imagine all your pink collections too. I bet you have tons of it. It’s just so cute!

  2. I am also a huge fan of Hello Kitty! I have a lot of stuff that I bought and was gifted to me but as time went by and now that I have my own family, I have to leave them at my parent’s house. This is so heartbreaking! I can feel your sepanx as you take these last photos.
