Street Style: Pajama Outfit in Tokyo

My brother, Mark, actually thought I was still in my pajamas when I walked out from our hotel room in Tokyo to grab some breakfast. Like, seriously! Well, I have always wanted to wear my pajamas to work or out in public because they are just the comfiest type of clothing, wouldn’t you agree? I have seen many celebrities and bloggers wore this pajama trend for the past years, and I think it’s back on trend now since I’ve seen a lot of this style in many stores lately so I thought of trying this it out on the streets of Tokyo, why not right?

I actually got these satin botanical set from Shein last December but I only got to wear it during my recent trip to Tokyo a few weeks ago. These aren’t really pajamas but it kinda looks like one since it’s a satin co-ord. I wore it with a very light trench coat since it gets chilly during the night at 16 deg C.

Trivia facts: Did you know that one of the most expensive taxis in the world is in Tokyo, Japan? (Narita Airport to the city at $200 the least. )

I was actually just pretending to hail a cab here, and if you notice, I was facing and hailing from the wrong side of the wrong. LOLS (Do it for the gram as they say, right?) I think we only took the taxi thrice during this trip and took the subway and bus most of the time. So we save money for sushi and ramen. Haha!

Here’s a tip when wearing this trend. Wear your pajamas with heels, boots or sneakers when going out in public. Remember that scene from Sex and the City movie? When Carrie went running out to go over at Miranda’s place in Brooklyn on new year’s eve? Carrie Bradshaw was actually in her pajamas with a coat and her Manolo’s of course. I love that scene!
