Travel Diary: Last Day + Last Minute Shopping in Tokyo

It’s our last day in Tokyo and just like any other vacation, that only means one thing, last minute shopping and nonstop eating. I guess some of you guys can relate to that, right? Well, since it was our last day, eating our favorite Ichiran for the one last time is top of the to-do list that day.

It was a beautiful Sunday in Tokyo and we have theΒ whole day to enjoy it before our flight back home at 9:00 AM the next day. We really love the hotel we stayed in Ginza (Ginza Grand Hotel) because aside from the location, there’s so much to explore in Ginza if you are into shopping that is.

The famous discount store in Japan, Donki or Don Quijote is also 3 minutes walk from our hotel and we spent quite a lot of time in there and I got so overwhelmed I forgot to take photos (sorry, but I think I have a video somewhere). The place is a must visit for every Pinoy out there, trust me, one day won’t be enough, best pasalubong place to shop.

Chuo Dori road in Ginza which was a few meters away from our hotel isΒ closed from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM from April to September every Sunday so we had a fun and an amazing experience of walking in the middle of the street and of course take a lot of photos.

Outfit details: Trench coat from Mango, Jeans from Zara, Top from Forever21, Boots from Asos, Gucci belt bag, Sunnies from Nicole Syjuco.

There’s a funny story behind this last photo above, me posing with this light post. I can’t remember exactly if it was before or after taking this photo that we saw a giant rat with two baby rats along the street. We literally shouted and jumped our feet off when we saw the rats running towards us exactly on the street above (somewhere in Ginza). I really wished it was captured in a video coz it was really so funny and we were really laughing so hard after that.

The streets of Tokyo were fairly clean but clearly not clean enough since there are still rats lurking around. We also saw big rats at the train station once. And of course, I shouted too and didn’t care about the people staring at me haha.

Well, that’s it for today guys. Sorry for this long overdue Tokyo diaries post. Been a crazy week and have been so unproductive lately. But I hope you like this post so thank you for dropping by today. Have a great weekend!
