Review: Katha Aromatics Shampoo Bar and more…

So proud to share this local brand with you today guys, Katha Aromatics. If you have been following me for quite some time now then you guys know that I am a fan of all-natural products. And so I was really glad that a friend of mine introduced me to this brand. I was actually surprised that these all-natural, handcrafted and wellness products are locally produced here in my hometown, Butuan City.

A couple of weeks ago I was able to meet the owners and maker of Katha Aromatics, couples Marvin and Karen Reyes at the newly opened Spa Traditions, located at Lynzee’s Building, J.Rosales Avenue, Butuan City. Karen is the founder and product designer of Katha which she made out of her passion and need for natural wellness products. They have essential oils, beauty oils, pillow mist, soaps, shampoo bar, massage oils, balms and more. I was so amazed by all the product she had made and I was able to try some of it for today’s review.

My husband has actually been using their pillow mist for quite some time now and we both love it because the smell is not strong. I was actually quite skeptical when he bought it because I am allergic to fragrance but their pillow mist doesn’t have any artificial fragrance and true to their words, they only use all-natural ingredients, no paraben, no fragrance, no chemicals, no surfactants.

With Karen Reyes, founder and product designer of Katha.

Katha Purifying Mist

I believe this is one of their best sellers, this purifying mist works as a sanitizer. And for someone like me who carries a hand sanitizer anywhere I go, this product is a must-have.

Katha Recovery Mentholated Balm

This mentholated balm is so good I just love smelling it. It can be used for aches, pain relief, nausea, nasal congestion, and headaches. An all-natural alternative for Vicks.

Katha Luxury Soap

I have been using this for almost three weeks now in lieu of my liquid hand soap. I love the scent and how it leaves my skin naturally soft and moisturized. Karen really recommended this soap to me when I told her that I have dry skin. And true enough, it works well with my skin.

Katha Shampoo Bar

This is my most favorite product from Katha. This shampoo bar is so amazing. It gives my super limp hair volume and it gives my scalp no itchy feeling. I have been using it for almost three weeks now and I gonna get myself some more. I think my family and friends will love this too. And because this is a shampoo bar, we are reducing the use of plastic sachets, plastic bottles, and plastic packaging, now that’s even amazing right?

Well, I still use a bottled hair conditioner after using this shampoo bar, so I have to ask Karen to make a hair conditioner too, I guess. Hahaha! Here’s a tip, apply hair conditioner from your neck’s nape all the way to your hair tips, using your fingers to comb it. Because the Shampoo Bar gives my roots the volume that it needs. I love it!

Don’t get me wrong, you might think I am a little bias with this review just because it is from my hometown, but I would never endorse a product or brand that I don’t believe in or use for that matter. I guess you gotta try it to believe it. So let me know when you do. I really waited for almost three weeks before actually reviewing these products because I wanted to see if it will work with my sensitive skin. And I am really so happy that my skin loves it.

That’s it for today guys, hope you find this review helpful. Check them out on Facebook or Instagram for more information. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
