Blue, White, & Pink Tablescape For My 41st Birthday

Yes, I just turned 41 last Friday, March 12th! We had a simple dinner at my parent’s house and wanted to make it extra special by setting up the table. If you have seen my previous vlog here, then you already know that I have been obsessing about these blue and white ginger jars. I love this whole Chinoiserie design, particularly this blue and white theme, that I wanted to make the theme for my birthday dinner. Added a touch of pink to it by decorating it with pink flowers and chose pink table napkins.

Lucky to have celebrated my birthday with my little family, my parents, and my siblings. But missing the rest of our family (in-laws), relatives, and friends. I mean, don’t we all? Just really wanted to have less than 20 people for dinner so it was just us that night. Being in a large crowd still freaks me out. Especially now that the positive cases are back up.

It’s already been a year since the pandemic and this whole quarantine/lockdown started. And I know many, who haven’t seen their loved ones and family members for a long time now. So I consider myself lucky that my family and I are just living in the same city and our houses are just 5-10minutes away. And just so I can have that taste of normal, I planned my birthday dinner two months prior. Made use of my new Chinoiserie home decors and used them for my birthday tablescape.

Outfit details: Dress from Zoo Label, Shoes (Tutum Shoes, borowed from my sister since I left mine at home)

Made my own birthday cake at the last minute. Used left over fondants. Not my best work but still happy about it. Cakes by Sheila Dy-Tiu page here.

With my sister Steph.

So happy with how everything turned out although I was having a little problem with the tablescape because this particular table in our pool house is very narrow and most of my ginger jars were big. But I was able to fit everything on the table. Do watch out for my Vlog this week as I will be showing you guys how I decorated the table from start to finish. Meantime, I hope you guys like the photos I took of my tablescape and you got some ideas for your next table setting too. Thank you so much for dropping by today. Stay healthy and safe everyone.
